There’s plenty going on behind the scenes at Europa-Park, too. The latest highlight is the Coasteria, the brand-new staff building with its canteen for employees that opened in August 2026. Charles Botta coordinated the various teams, who worked so efficiently that the planned construction time was cut by no less than three weeks.

 

The spacious and architecturally elegant building boasts a total floor area of 4,500 m² across all storeys, as well as 1,500 lockers and a shower area. Large windows, a modern ambience and attractive furnishings make the staff canteen the centrepiece of the building. With 560 seats indoors and a further 150 seats on the beautiful roof terrace, staff have plenty of space to enjoy their meals and take a break.

Meals are prepared in the modern and high-performance central kitchen with its associated cold stores. The delicious dishes are served at a large serving counter over 40 metres long. A separate ‘Feel Good’ counter ensures employees have access to healthy food options. The extensive range is rounded off with distribution machines for drinks and sweets.

To make washing up a breeze, the new canteen features a partially automated, high-performance dishwashing system with integrated wet waste disposal.
