In the Wild West, lodges were simple log cabins or shelters in the wilderness, but often also served as local trading posts where furs, tools and supplies were exchanged. The new Riverside Western Lodge in the Silver Lake City theme park draws on this historical role whilst offering much more besides

 

Between May 2025 and June 2026, under the construction coordination of Charles Botta, it was developed into the centrepiece of a modern holiday and leisure complex that combines hotel comfort, camping and entertainment.

Refreshments are provided by an ice-cream parlour, a hot dog stand, a shop, a 24-hour convenience store and the new Silver Lake Brewery.

A number of technical innovations have also been incorporated that the settlers of the Wild West would certainly have appreciated: for example, ventilation systems to combat the heat, heat pumps for comfortable rooms and drinking water tanks for the water supply. Once again, Europa-Park is leading the way in terms of technology – sustainable, efficient and future-proof.

What really sets the new Riverside Western Lodge apart is the attention to detail.

From the façade and the creaking wooden planks to the truly beautiful décor and the bunk beds in the covered wagon: everything exudes the spirit of the Wild West. In the soft glow of the lamps, rocking back and forth in a rocking chair on the veranda, you can relax and take in what’s happening in Silver Lake City, and feel what has been created here: a place that brings the spirit of the Wild West to life, with plenty of adventure, freedom and a sense of community!
