This sports complex, which is reminiscent of the baobab tree, was named after the late Peter Mokaba, a political activist against the apartheid regime.

 

The stadium was built for the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa™ in the sports centre of the same name. It is about five kilometres from the city centre and seats 45,000. (Picture imago sportfotodienst)
